‘whisky ships’? What are you getting?

Getting a North Star bottling of
Caol Ila at 50%. All he’s been putting out have been priced very well and
getting great reviews.
I found one site in all of Canada that will ship to other Provinces. Thought it’d be a good idea to use a relatively inexpensive bottle as a test for shipping times and costs. Still under the $100 ceiling at $60 plus $30 shipping for a bottle that will never be available here. This could get dangerous. The site has 4X the selection of what we get here.
Try anything new lately?

Drink really is expensive over there.
It’s quite expensive in Scotland now, which is why many come to my side of the border to buy it and thankfully for them there is no border to charge them the taxes.
Not really tried anything new , no.
had a couple of new to me beers.
Firestone, Union Jack, IPA. Not great.
Dale’s beers. Absolutely shite.
Carlisle Brewing Company. Carlisle, where I live, used to have a large brewery just around the corner from me, but is now a university campus. This, ‘Carlisle Bell’, is one of several they do. It’s okay but not great by any means.

Seems this bottle was available for £38 at Master of Malt. Yes, expensive here. That $60 is in the cheapest Province too, and without sales tax. If it were here it’d be at least $125CDN plus 12%.
Even before I’ve tried it I’ll suggest looking into North Star. He does some really interesting stuff. From very young Campbeltowns, to very old blends. He even does a bourbon aged in barrels original used to age peated whisky. I haven’t seen an Auchentoshan yet. ; -)x
I’ve gathered you’re not the biggest fan of New World IPAs. Must suck to have so many new beers released and so many of them are IPAs.
I liked that Trooper Iron Mai den beer.

I like IPAs, but with so many new stuff coming out all the time, it pushes the others to one side and makes established stuff a little harder to find.
The vast majority of the new stuff is fruity, amber ales, etc... but you have to try them to see what they are like. I had a new IPA at the train station the other week. I disliked it that much I d rank (forced myself) half a pint and walked out.
